  Great selection of savoury and sweet vareniki - traditional russian dumplings. The menu covers a wide variety of russian and soviet food and includes items most loved by Russians - e.g. herring salad, pancakes, sirniki, borsh, pelmeni and etc. The place has soviet era decor accompanied by 80s-90s pop music and a TV screen showing soviet films on the first floor. Very reasonably priced considering it’s the centre of Moscow. Would definitely return as there are still so many vareniki on the menu that I would like to try.

  I loved the food here. Tried several type of varenikes. The once filled with cherry were great and the once with potatoes my favorites.

  Very good ambience and delicious Russian food. Service was a bit slow compared to Asian but in general it is still a decent restaurant worth to dine in. We’ve been here twice during our stay in Moscow. Varenyky is a must try food here!

  Very good restaurant. We came for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has an old Soviet decor and the general feel is quite homly and comfortable. The service is very good, although the waitors do not speak much English. The food is delicious. The menu is quite large but consists of soups, varenki, salads. It is also quite reasonably priced considering the central location

  Delicious traditional Russian food, little portions so you can order a variety of them, in a retro Sovjet atmosphere. Eat here by preference with good Russian friends, to experience the real soul and spirit of Russia. I had a great time here 😁👊
