One of the oldest and most luxurious shopping mall in Europe. Facing the red square ( another russian monument), it is an area where history meets Luxus, it also symbolizes the splendor of the house Romanov. The first time I have been there, I was captivated by its architecture. So, if you are a fashion addict, prepare your credit card, you will love. The visit is really worth, not necessarily for shopping, maybe just for a stroll or to have a drink in one of the many cafes.

It is beautiful, but the stores are very international and just something you have seen a thousand other places. There is loud electronic pop music played over the speakers which kills all notions of elegance. Do go by to see this historic building, but do not expect to stay for long.

Beautiful and luxurious shopping mall in the heart of Moscow! GUM is a historical place, positioned at the central part of the Red Square. It is a "home" of numerous worldwide prestigious brands, as well as some of the iconic soviet companies. You can enjoy a classic Russian "maroznaja" (ice cream), being served by the women wearing Soviet wardrobe, while walking around the beautiful shopping mall. There are usually contemporary exhibitions of Russian art and history.

Shopping Center / Mall - Located right in front of the Red Square, this building is beautifully designed, and populated by many high end stores and global brands, as well as restaurants and an excellent Grocery Store with all types of Russian goods. Built originally for the Czar and those living in the palace, it is the first and largest department store in Russia (and probably the most expensive). It is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
